Thai PM denies House dissolution

BANGKOK, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- The coalition government has no plan to dissolve the House of Representatives as speculated earlier by House Speaker Chai Chidchob, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said here Friday.

Having been stressed from controlling a House session for the 2010 Budget Bill's deliberation might have pushed Chai to speculate the House dissolution, Thai News Agency quoted Abhisit as saying.

Early Friday morning, Chai said the House dissolution is possible to occur soon after a passage of the Budget Bill for the 2010 fiscal year.

The Bill will provide budgets to local administrations for development projects nationwide, while the country's Election Commission will also have a budget to hold a new general election, Chai said.

Meanwhile, the opposition has also increasingly called for the new general election, Chai said.
