BANGKOK, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Two Thai Muslims were killed on Thursday morning in Thailand's southernmost province of Yala, Thailanguage news agency INN reported.
Ma-yi-sor Pu-yoh, 70-year-old, was killed by at least two suspected insurgents, while he was traveling to a village mosque in Bae-jang-sa-eh of Grong-bi-nang district of Yala, the news agency INN said.
Pu-yoh, who was shot for several times, died on the way to a hospital in the city of Yala.
Separately, another Thai Mulsim, Wae-ah Sae-deng was killed as he was driving a motorbike to take his son to school in a village of Ban-nang-star district in Yala. His son survives, police said.
Police have had two possible motives on this case, which include local political conflicts and suspected separatists' attack.
Thailand's deep South comprises mainly the three southernmost provinces of Yala, Pattani, Narathiwas, and some parts of Songkla province. Over 3,500 people have been killed by violence attacks by the suspected separatists since January 2004.
